I really enjoyed this vision of the future. It feels optimistic without ignoring today's problems, and all the little everyday details made the world feel genuinely lived in rather than just idealized.
I'm curious was there one specific Solarpunk idea that inspired this piece, or did the vision come together from lots of different influences over time?
thank you so much for your thoughtful comment π there wasnβt a single Solarpunk idea inspiring this piece, more the overall aesthetic and idea of Solarpunk combined with matriarchal thinking. I basically looked at a bunch of problems weβre facing in 2026 and tried to come up with realistic solutions that would make these issues obsolete while also showing the absurdity of the sheer ignorance by most politicians regarding these issues
Every fibre of my being wants this version of our future. Iβve recently been thinking about nature vandalism and sprinkling wildflower seeds along the sides of the footpath that I take to walk home every day. Thinking of that and reading this gives me so much hope when it all feels so bleak x
So much to like in this and there are many echoes in our first SolarPunk Detective story (https://www.solarpunkstories.com/buy-our-1st-story)
Looking forward to reading more of your takes on what a sexy solarpunk future might feel like π
Yeahhh this is so cool, Iβve gotta read it!! Letβs get Solarpunk into mainstream conversation ππ½ππ½
Getting solarpunk to the masses is our number one mission. So great to be teaming up with you for it π
Love this, gave me goosebumps! I will definitely dive into Solarpunk, thanks π«ΆπΌ
